With Telesat’s Teleport Services, customers benefit from sharing the access costs of teleport services, eliminating the need for on-premises earth station equipment, and from the higher level of redundancy and engineering support that a teleport can provide.
Teleports also offer customers flexibility. Through its teleports, Telesat can provide satellite-based services in a matter of days instead of months. Customers can build a satellite-based network customized for their business requirements without worrying about long lead times for installations.
Telesat’s Teleport Services are custom designed solutions based on point-to-point services from either a Telesat provisioned teleport or from a customer premise. Data speeds ranges from 19.2 Kbps to 55+ Mbps. Telesat’s Teleport Services are dedicated which means no sharing of bandwidth or network resources with other customers. The service is available in both Ku and C-Band in Canada and is purposely designed to meet specific customer requirements.
